Borax can be used for more than just making homemade slime and goop! Bathroom tips and hacks will make your life way easier. Here are six ways you can use Borax to make bathroom cleaning and maintenance quick and simple:
Clean combs and brushes
Get your combs and brushes clean with the following ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of Borax
- 6-8 drops of dish detergent
- 1 gallon of hot water in bucket or sink
After combining the ingredients listed above, put the combs and brushes in the bucket/sink and run the combination through the solution 3-5 times. When you've put your combs and brushes through the solution 3-5 times, rinse out your combs and brushes with hot water and let them air dry.
Mold cleaner
Combine Borax with water to create a paste. Apply the Borax/water paste on areas that tend to have mold. After applying the paste, allow it to dry for 3-5 hours then remove the dried paste and wipe off the excess dried paste with a slightly damp washcloth. If you don't know how to identify bathroom mold, this is how you do it.
Mop your floor
Like the previous Borax recipes, this mop solution is simple and effective. Combine 1/4 cup of Borax to 1/2 cup of vinegar with a sink of hot water. Mix in a few drops of dish detergent to the mop solution. Dip in your mop, wring the mop and get to work.
Pest control
Lightly sprinkle Borax around your window sills and near bathroom entryways.
Get rid of goo
Apply a combination of 1/4 cup of Borax and 1/2 cup of warm water with a clean rag. You can use it clean up sticky surfaces.
